emPSN (embc) provides services to more than 2,100 sites: 1122 schools and over 1000 public sector sites. The broadband connectivity and services are procured directly from framework agreements with carefully selected suppliers, delivering reduced costs and increased coverage through aggregation.
Our suppliers are: Kcom and Virgin Media for connectivity and services are offered by Capita, Capital Bytes, KBR, Ark, Mouchel, Pure Data Solutions, RM and eSafety-Advisor.
We retain embc as the schools brand. We provide access for schools to a reliable, high quality, safe and secure broadband service across the East Midlands. With the suppliers selected to meet the needs of our members we are able to deliver greater flexibility and choice whilst removing the complexities of procurement. Schools and academies are offered a range of bandwidth speeds dependant on their location including FTTC (Superfast Broadband), a range of service options, a variety of contract lengths and the option to cluster with other schools to achieve further benefits of aggregation and communication.
With the option to purchase direct from the supplier through the embc framework or via embc direct who will manage your billing and escalation we are working hard on your behalf to give you better results.
emPSN offer public sector organisations a procurement route to deliver a PSN accredited service or a corporate link connecting many sites together on one network to achieve efficiencies in cost and delivery. Sites may include local authorities, district councils, health and blue light. Authorities who have made savings through aggregating their corporate sites across the emPSN network include Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Leicester City.
emPSN is owned by our members; we have 942 member schools, 7 member local authorities including Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Leicester City, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottingham City and Rutland and district councils City of Lincoln and South Holland.
