E2BN's Myths and Legends in Top Award

Chicago - E2BN's ‘Myths and Legends' website, myths.e2bn.org  has been awarded top honours by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL).

 
Now in its third year, the AASL list of websites honours the top 25 Internet sites for enhancing learning and curriculum development for school librarians and their teacher collaborators. The list is considered the "best of the best" by AASL.

 

Diane Earl, E2BN Operations Manager, said "We are delighted to have won this award. As well as acknowledging the fact that ‘Myths and Legends' is a creative, innovative and fun learning resource, it also underlines the universal appeal of storytelling and the wider cultural importance of myths and legends."

 
The Top 25 Websites for Teaching and Learning were named because they foster the qualities of innovation, creativity, active participation and collaboration.
 

Updated annually, the Top 25 Websites is based on feedback and nominations from AASL members. School librarians can nominate their most used Web sites at www.ala.org/aasl/bestlist .
