Free Cyber Security Briefing 26/09/2019 3:00 pm to 26/09/2019 5:00 pm

Overview

The City of London Police has a strategic priority to tackle cybercrime and has built up a national reputation for cybersecurity training over many years, based on their unique knowledge of the high-tech international business operations of the Square Mile and understanding of technological crime.

Their specialist officers offer regular baseline briefings to business and have now agreed to offer regular session tailored to the needs of schools. The officers will provide you with information on current threat trends, the most prolific attacks happening now, and expert protection advice that every school needs to know.

LGfL offers its schools are range of cybersecurity protections but it is vital that schools understand how they might be attacked and what they can do to combat this, both in terms of technology and human skills (e.g. to avoid letting in attackers with an ill-thought click).

Who should attend?

This twilight training from 3-5pm is billed as a non-technical briefing so does not require technical knowledge to attend. However it will of course be relevant for technical staff.

The briefings are intended to be used by attendees to cascade information back to staff when they return to school and have been made twilight sessions to minimise the time needed away from schools.

The session would be ideal for:

  • Business managers
  • Senior leadership team
  • Network managers & technicians
  • Any other staff with an interest in boosting cybersecurity protections in their school

About Cyber Griffin
